Our trained staff – the majority being family members – can come and pack the contents of your home in preparation for the move. Each move will be overseen by a key member of staff who will keep you informed of the whole process.
We work tirelessly to ensure we keep up the high standards that were set by John and Sadie Russell with all aspects of moving from small studio flats to country homes.
Single Item deliveries
We have teams all over the U.K throughout the year in smaller specialist vans and are happy to take single items to their destination. We can either do this on a special run if the delivery is urgent or for more relaxed timings we can save you money by consolidating a number of different deliveries at a convenient date.
Key Advice for moving home
Removal companies are the last of a chain of companies when buying and selling a home & a lot of different factors come into play when booking removals.
- On the completion day you will want your current home to be empty by no later than 11am to so ensure packing is done prior to the moving day.
- We like to be with you at least the day before completion day to load all non essentials items e.g boxes, unneeded furniture garden etc leaving you comfortable with your beds, sofa and overnight essentials ready for a quick load on the morning of the big day! This takes the pressure off of yourselves and our teams.
- Label boxes with which room they are going to and roughly the contents.
- If we are packing for you, ensure anything you need to keep with you is clearly labelled or put away from our teams.
- Keep all personal documents such as Passports, driving licences, house documents with you at all times throughout the move rather than in boxes. These may be required last minute for the sale/purchase.
Removal companies work in different ways but we always advise the following.
- Keep your options open!…Book at least three removal surveyors to visit your home as early as possible prior to exchange of contracts.
- Think about if you require a packing service, dismantling & assembling of furniture, any special requirements/preferences.
- Acknowledge quotes and remain in contact with all solicitors, estate agents and removal companies
- Before you exchange contracts make sure your preferred mover has the availability and once confirmed with them you can go ahead and exchange. If your preferred mover doesn’t have the availability you have the other removal companies who know your requirements already.
